Summer Jazz Combo Camp Registration Now Available
The first Milestones Summer Jazz Combo Day Camp will take place on Monday, June 17 through Saturday, June 22 from 9 am to noon each day at Ahwahnee Middle School in Fresno.
Combo camp is for jazz musicians and aspiring jazz musicians alike, from those just entering middle school to those recently graduated from high school. Learn more about the program.
Jazz-a-Thon Features Outstanding Performances, New Grant from PG&E
The first annual Spring Jazz-a-thon featured outstanding performances from each of the Milestones groups as well as Valley jazz stars who came out in force to perform at the Painted Table on April 20. The evening also featured a $5,000 check presentation from PG&E for scholarships to the 2013-14 program.
Milestones Combo at Jan Joaquin Jazz Festival
The Milestones Jazz Ambassadors Combo, under the direction of Brian Hamada, scored superior ratings at the recent San Joaquin Valley Jazz Festival. Three group members earned outstanding performance certificate and the group bassist was named outstanding high school rhythm section performer. Watch performance videos.
Milestones Opens For Freddy Cole
The Milestones intermediate and advanced ensembles opened for jazz great Freddy Cole at the Tower Theatre on January 20, 2013. The program was a big hit with concert-goers as well as with Freddy and has band, who took seats in the audience to hear the 45-minute set. Watch performance videos.
